We encourage you to develop strong communication skills as you grow in the performing arts. Clear, thoughtful communication helps build trust with directors, instructors, and fellow performers, creating a more collaborative and supportive environment.
Effective communication is more than speaking clearly. It includes active listening, asking clarifying questions, awareness of body language, and the ability to respond with intention. These skills allow artists to better understand direction, adapt in rehearsals, and contribute meaningfully to the creative process.
Training in the performing arts shows that communication skills can also be developed through practices like acting, improvisation, and voice work. These experiences help artists build confidence, express themselves authentically, and navigate both creative and professional interactions with greater ease. Over time, strong communication becomes an essential foundation for collaboration, professionalism, and long-term growth.

At the end of the season, the Viral Video Of The Weekend winners will compete to win the title of “Viral Video Of The Year”! The grand prize winner receives a $400 StarQuest Gift Certificate for the 2027 season and a Dream Duffel Elite Backpack for every dancer in the routine.
