The Experience is the Real Award.
Some moments remind us that the stage is more than just a place to perform, it’s a place to celebrate resilience and triumph. During our 2025 #SQAustin event, Joselyn from Texas Galaxy Cheer and Dance gave us one of those unforgettable moments when she performed her solo for the very first time that season!
Right before competition season started, Joselyn suffered a stress fracture in her femur that kept her out for six long months. But with determination and dedication, she never gave up. She committed to physical therapy 3 to 4 times a week, worked hard with her coach Dymond, and focused on her recovery.
All that effort paid off. Joselyn returned to the #SQStage better than ever. She showed off her skills with strength, confidence, and joy. Her story is proof that setbacks may slow us down, but passion and perseverance will always light the way back. That’s why Joselyn is this week’s amazing #SQMemoryOfTheWeek !

/ Artists Unite Collective / Precision, control, and awareness are essential parts of building strong technique. Learning how to move safely and efficiently helps dancers develop a solid foundation that supports both growth and longevity in their training.
Working with professional dancer Kathy VanDereedt, participants focused on body awareness and proper alignment. Through clear, hands-on instruction, they gained a deeper understanding of how to support their movement and refine their technique.
With a strong foundation in place, artists are able to move with clarity and continue developing their artistry over time.
