We encourage you to build supportive relationships as you grow in the performing arts. Connecting with fellow artists, teachers, and mentors, helps create an environment where performers can not only feel encouraged to develop their skills and continue exploring their creativity, but also have a group of people to lean on as humans in general!
Supportive artistic communities play an important role in growth. Encouragement from peers and mentors can help young artists navigate challenges, stay motivated, and feel more confident in their creative journey.
Research in youth arts programs shows that caring relationships and community support help performers build confidence, strengthen their identity as artists, and discover new opportunities for growth. Over time, these relationships become an important foundation for both personal and artistic development.
