At #SQHarrisburg, the Rising Star Competition gave us a moment that beautifully captured the heart of why we love dance. Sophie has been dancing since she was three years old, and this weekend marked a special milestone in her journey. For the very first time, she stepped onto the StarQuest stage to perform a tap routine. While her movement is intentionally simple, the courage, focus, and joy behind each step made the moment incredibly powerful. Her mom shared how meaningful this was for their family, a reminder of how far Sophie has come and how much dance means to her. Sharing the stage was Kenna, a dancer whose love for dance is impossible to miss. Her teacher shared that the moment Kenna walks into the studio, her face lights up. Dance is a place where she feels happy, confident, and free. These are the moments that stay with us. Moments where the stage becomes a place of belonging, confidence, and celebration. At StarQuest, every dancer’s journey is honored, and every step forward is worth celebrating. This week, Sophie and Kenna reminded us that dance is not about how big the movement is. It’s about heart, joy, and the power of feeling supported enough to shine, and that’s why they are the perfect #SQMomentOfTheWeek ! ... See MoreSee Less

After a big performance, taking time to recharge can be just as important as the preparation that led up to it. Performing requires focus, energy, and emotional investment, so finding ways to rest and reset helps artists stay balanced and ready for what comes next.
For some performers, that might mean quiet time, stretching, or reflecting on the experience. For others, it might be celebrating with friends, listening to music, or simply getting a good night of rest.
Every artist has their own way of restoring energy after stepping off stage.
How do you like to recharge after a big performance?
