Sometimes it’s the smallest traditions that hold the biggest meaning. At #SQAndover2, we met Aubrey, whose love for StarQuest shines far beyond the stage. She and her friends shared how much they adore competing with us and how StarQuest has become one of their favorite stops each season. But what truly captured our hearts was the story behind her dance pins. After every event, she carefully saves each pin and attaches it to her very first dance costume. What started as a simple keepsake has become a growing collection of memories, moments, and milestones stitched together by passion and pride. In her studio, senior dancers take part in a tradition called Senior Speak, where they display something meaningful from their journey. She already knows what hers will be. That very costume, covered in StarQuest pins, telling the story of years spent dancing, dreaming, and growing, and that’s why Aubrey is this week’s perfect #SQMomentOfTheWeek ! Moments like this remind us that StarQuest is more than a competition. It’s a place where memories are made, traditions are born, and dancers carry pieces of their journey with them long after the music ends! ... See MoreSee Less

We love to highlight the incredible strides this generation is making to help change the world. We hope it inspires you to believe in yourselves and follow through with your unique ideas!
Meet Abigail Lupi, a young changemaker who is helping combat loneliness among nursing home residents. When Abigail was just 10 years old, a visit to her grandmother in a nursing home opened her eyes to how many older adults struggle with feeling alone and overlooked.
Inspired to help, Abigail founded CareGirlz, an organization that connects nursing home residents in New Jersey with young volunteers. Through visits, conversations, and shared activities, CareGirlz helps residents feel valued, cared for, and connected. As Abigail shared in an interview with The Inspire a Kid Podcast, “I like to brighten up people’s days and help them have a fun time. If I do my best, they’ll have a smile on their faces by the end.”
Abigail’s work shows how simple acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact. By choosing empathy and action, she reminds us that young people can change the world by reaching out to others and making them feel seen.
